How to choose a lab-grown diamond

A lab-grown diamond is graded on the same four measures as a mined one — cut, colour, clarity and carat. Cut matters most: it decides how much light the stone throws back at you, and a well-cut smaller stone will always outshine a poorly cut larger one.

For colour, anything in the D–F range reads as colourless to the eye. For clarity, VS and above means no inclusions you can see without magnification. Beyond that you are paying for a certificate, not for something anyone will notice.

Every stone we sell is graded by IGI and arrives with its report, and the gold it sits in carries the BIS hallmark. If you would rather talk it through, message us on WhatsApp and we will send photos and video of the actual piece.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. They are chemically, physically and optically identical to mined diamonds — the only difference is that they are grown rather than dug out of the ground.

What certification comes with my piece?

Every diamond is graded by IGI and ships with its certificate. The gold setting carries the BIS hallmark with a unique HUID.

Can I exchange or return it?

Unworn pieces can be exchanged within 7 days of delivery, and we offer lifetime exchange on the gold value of any Carat Story piece.

How long will delivery take?

Made-to-order pieces ship in 7–10 business days. Anything marked Fast Delivery leaves our studio within 2 business days, fully insured.

Can I see it before I buy?

Yes — visit the Rajouri Garden studio, or message us on WhatsApp and we will send photos and video of the actual piece.
